Dyslexia test fees

Secure ordering
The cost of your dyslexia test booklet includes our Assessment and full Report. You may order your test booklet by credit or debit card through our secure server link. This secure transaction is carried out by SECPay, who maintain the highest levels of data encryption protected by firewall technology.

Your dyslexia test booklet will be mailed to you within 48 hours of our receiving your order. Delivery times vary from one country to another, but you should allow up to ten days. We guarantee to replace your test booklet if it should be lost or damaged in the mail.

Fees vary slightly from one country to another according to the cost of return postage and our bank clearing charges for different currencies.

Our Fees
Our fees are always kept at the most affordable level for a comprehensive and thorough dyslexia assessment - through the use of home testing. Compared with the charges made by specialists locally, our fees are only a fraction of the cost to parents and adults. The quality of our Assessment Reports has been recognized by schools worldwide.

Our aim is to help you to improve your child's learning, and a wide-ranging list of recommendations, matched to your child's particular difficulties, will focus on precise strategies to raise your child's level of achievement to the broad average for their age. Can I order by check/cheque?
Payment by check/cheque is accepted from schools, colleges and organizations, but not from individuals. For schools, colleges and organizations, there is a form on which you can type your details. You can then print it out and send it to us with your school's check/cheque. Processing your payment by check/cheque will take a little longer (7 to 21 days) and costs slightly more. Payment for assessments is not accepted in installments.

No assessments in June
Our research program takes place in June each year, and we are not able to carry out assessments in this month. You may still order your test booklet during June, and send back your booklet, but it will not be assessed until after July 1st.

Keeping you informed
We always try to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. When we receive your order, provided you have given us your e-mail address on the order form, we will e-mail you within 48 hours to confirm that your test booklet has been dispatched to you. When we receive the completed booklet back from you, we will e-mail you again to let you know we have received it safely. Finally, we will e-mail you when your report is complete and has been sent to you.

Assessments are normally completed within 7-14 days after receipt, depending on how busy we are.

Confidentiality
No mention is made of dyslexia on the envelope in which your test booklet is sent to you. There is just our company name - Direct Learning - and our address.

Returning your booklet
Your test booklet should be completed and returned to us for assessment within three months.

Telephoning us
Unfortunately, as we cover the whole world and all time zones, we do not have the financial resources to maintain a 24-hour telephone response service while maintaining our fees at an affordable level. However, if there is a query, the e-mail service is extremely fast, and we always do our best to answer incoming e-mails within 24 hours.

Schools discount
A discount of 10% is available for assessments for children aged 4 through 16 submitted by schools, colleges and Dyslexia Centers. Details

First language not English?
Our dyslexia tests are only suitable for children and adults whose first language is English, or who have grown up bi-lingual in English and another language.

No assessments in June
Our research program takes place each year in June and we are not able to carry out assessments during this month. However, you may still order your test booklet during June, and return your completed booklet, which will be assessed soom after July 1st.

Research program
Customers are asked in their test booklet whether they agree (or not) to their test results being included - strictly anonymously - in our research program. The results of our research feed into our assessment process and into the Dyslexia Certificate Course.
